I first met Becky & Dan over 10 years ago when we all worked together, so when they got in touch last year to say that they were getting married and wanted to book me as their photographer I was thrilled! Their wedding was held at the Aberavon Beach Hotel and had a Star Wars theme (Becky even arranged for a stormtrooper and Darth Vader to turn up to the reception as a surprise for Dan!)

After the ceremony we headed over to the beach for some photos, despite the blustery weather they were happy to persevere to get a few photos of them on the sand!

Christmas weddings really are extra-special. Just a few days after Christmas 2016, Andrew & Jacquie tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Celtic Manor Hotel. The festive decorations around the hotel only added to the magic of their wedding, and we managed to sneak off to the main lobby for photos in front of the Christmas tree which was fantastic!

Andrew & Jacquie’s wedding was the perfect example of a part-day wedding. In 4 hours, we covered bridal preparation in Jacquie’s hotel room, the ceremony, formal photos and a few candids before wrapping up. If you’re having a small wedding then a part-day package could work out perfectly for you!

Just days before Christmas, Rachel & Dominic celebrated with their loved ones in an evening wedding ceremony at Manor Park Hotel, nr. Swansea. As they were only having a small wedding they only needed me for a part day package which perfectly suited their needs.

Going against tradition, they opted to do family and couple’s portraits before their ceremony, and then immediately after their vows they had a very special guest arrive – SANTA! He handed out gifts to each of the children at the wedding and made sure to chat to everyone.

Just a couple of weeks before Christmas 2016, Kirsty & Mitchell had their elegant Winter wedding at the wonderful Stradey Park Hotel in Llanelli. While I’ve done quite a few receptions at the hotel, this was the first ceremony there and I was blown away by how beautiful the conservatory is for vows! Bright, airy, and a dream to photograph.

We kept formal photos to a minimum so that the couple could spend the majority of their day with friends and family, but the hotel offers so many beautiful locations for candid photos that it didn’t compromise on photos at all!

The highlight of the day was, without a doubt, the singing waiters! Kirsty & Mitchell managed to keep it a surprise and when they started up before dessert was served all of their family and friends were joining in – what an atmosphere!!

It was a pleasure being there to capture your day for you both, and I’m so pleased by how much you love your photos!

Oldwalls is hands down one of my favourite wedding venues, and I’m lucky enough to shoot quite a few weddings there every year! Mag & Ryan got in touch only a few months before their wedding looking for the right photographer, and I’m so glad that they picked me to capture it.

Magz was the first bride I got to shoot getting ready at the incredible Mulberry House which Oldwalls launched last year. It really is such a beautiful place for you and your bridesmaids to relax the night before your wedding and get ready the morning off. Not only is it pure luxury, it’s also light and airy and a total dream to shoot in! The views over Gower from outside the front door cannot be beaten for a few photos before you are whisked across the road to the ceremony. Make Up was done by the talented Jenna Kelly

Samantha, my second shooter, met Ryan and the boys at the couple’s home for some candid pre-wedding photos, and followed them down to Oldwalls to get some great posed group shots before the ceremony began.

What a wonderful wedding day it was, and such a pleasure for us to be a part of it.

Just at the tail-end of summer 2016, Justine & Ashley’s wedding was adorned with the most beautiful weather. Justine, her mum and bridesmaids got ready in the hotel’s bridal suits which boasts stunning views from the room.

Their colour theme was peacock blue (my favourite!) The style was so fresh and unique, with beautiful ombre bridesmaids dresses and a wedding cake with peacock feather details. Everywhere you looked you could see something unique, something that Justine & Ashley had put so much effort into.

The whole day was filled with jovial laughter and happiness, and it was my first wedding with a caricature artist which was an amazing choice because it got everyone involved and busy.

Congratulations again both!

I met Mary & Richard at a wedding fayre in summer 2016, and within a couple of weeks they were booked in for their September wedding! It was my first time at The Great House in Laleston, nr Bridgend. The venue is beautiful and was decorated so perfectly by the couple with lots of floral touches.

In September 2016, I travelled out to the Olympic Lagoon Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus to capture Leeanne & Mark’s incredible destination wedding. Not only was it a wonderful opportunity to get to photograph such a unique wedding, but they are the loveliest couple I could have asked for! Their families welcomed me which made my job so much easier.

The Olympic Lagoon Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus is amazing! I stayed there for 3 nights for their wedding, and was blown away by the facilities and the service. There are a wide choice of restaurants to choose from, lots of places to explore, and every member of staff is only too happy to help you – I’m already looking to book next year’s holiday here!

Both bride and groom got ready in the hotel, which made it so much easier to dash around and capture it all. Just a quick walk from the bridal suite along the palm-tree lined pathway led us to the beachside ceremony location, close enough to walk to in the heat but far enough away from the hotel guests to give the couple some privacy. Throughout the ceremony all you could hear was the waves lapping around us, and feel the breeze of the sea (which was very welcomed!)

Following the ceremony, we took group photos backing onto the ceremony site, and then headed up to the hotel’s ‘You & Me’ bar for drinks and canapés. While everyone was enjoying, the bride, groom and myself ducked out for the first round of couple’s portraits in front of the hotel, and in their favourite diner-themed restaurant which made for some fun and unique photos! By the time we were done, the outdoor BBQ area was ready for guests, and once everyone had taken their seat the couple made their grand entrance.

One the sun began to set, I managed to sneak the couple away for a few more minutes to get some absolutely beautiful sunset portraits down at the beach. Leeanne & Mark were gracious enough to put up with my requests, including walking down the slippery dock to get my absolute favourite photo! By the time we were finished, food was being served and they were able to spend the evening eating, drinking and dancing with their loved ones.

What a wonderful way to spend your wedding! Thank you both so, so much for having me along – it was incredible!

Back in August 2016, I captured Lynette & Ceri’s beautiful wedding ceremony at Swansea Registry Office. The sun was shining brightly, making photos overlooking the bay so easy and worthwhile!

After their ceremony, everyone headed to their reception at The Dragon Hotel in Swansea, where everything was decorated so beautifully for the happy couple and their guests.

Lynette is a very talented make up artist, and did her own make up on her wedding day! You can find her page here, and she’s on Instagram @lynettemuax so if you’re in need of flawless make up for a wedding or other special occasion, take a look at her page – you won’t be disappointed!

I absolutely love capturing registry office weddings, so if you’re planning yours and want some beautiful photos of it to treasure forever please get in touch!
