Pet Portraits for Christmas in Swansea // Swansea Pet Photographer

Christmas is quickly approaching, and I’ve been working harder than one of Santa’s elves at getting all of your sessions carried out and photos edited and delivered in time for Christmas delivery.

This year has been exceptionally busy with pet portraits! Lots of waggy tails have joined me in Swansea’s finest parks and woodland so that their loving parents (and even grandparents!) can be surprised with a gorgeous print of their beloved four-legged friend this season.

Since they’re all top-secret until the big day so that I don’t spoil any surprises, here is my own beautiful boy, Harvey, who I finally got around to taking the annual photos of yesterday (nothing like leaving it until the last minute, eh?!)

Jen & Dan // St Pierre Wedding Photographer

This was a wedding I was even more excited about than usual, because it took place at the amazing St Pierre Golf Resort & Hotel in Chepstow. It was my first time shooting a wedding there, but did manage to sneak up in September to have a scout around with Jen & Dan ahead of their big day.

Such a beautiful place with a fun and happy couple who were a pleasure to work with. Here’s a small sneak peek from their day with many more photos to come

Holly & Zak // Towers Hotel Wedding Photographer

Another wonderful couple, another incredible wedding! Holly & Zak held their wedding at The Towers Hotel & Spa, Jersey Marine, Swansea in May and it was such a beautiful day from start to finish! Holly got ready in the hotel along with her mum, brother and bridesmaids. Her room was just a short walk across to the ceremony room where Zak was anxiously awaiting her arrival.

After their ceremony, they joined their guests for drinks in the bar, before we all headed out into the sunshine for photos on the lawn.

Wendy & Chris // Rehoboth Chapel, Llanelly House & Baltic Inn Wedding Photographer

Spring 2017 was full of so many beautiful weddings, and it’s times like this that make me absolutely love my job!

Chris & Wendy exchanged their vows at their local church, the quaint and beautiful Rehoboth Chapel, Five Roads in Llanelli. With all of their nearest and dearest filing in you could tell that they were surrounded by so much love.

Following their ceremony, we ventured into a nearby meadow which has a special meaning to the couple, and made the most of the beautiful weather by getting photos of the happy couple amongst the grass and flowers, overlooking nearby fields. It was perfect!

We then headed down to Llanelly House in Llanelli, where the couple had booked an hour for portraits (just incase the weather wasn’t in our favour). Despite the fact that the sun was shining, I’m so glad that they made the investment to have some photographs taken at Llanelly House because it gave them so much variety, and also allowed them to enjoy some time together, just the two of them.

Their reception was held at The Baltic Inn in Ponthenri, where guests mingled in the sunshine, and enjoyed the Marryoke put on by videographers Orchid Films in the grounds of the hotel. Everyone had such a wonderful time, laughing, dancing, singing and celebrating.

Chris & Wendy rounded off the night with their first dance in the hotel’s function room, and no doubt partied well into the night after we left!

Natalie & Mark // Carreg Adventure Wedding Photographer

This Spring saw me visit a brand new venue, Carreg Adventure in Gower!  Natalie & Mark were originally booked for a different venue in Gower, which sadly fell through only a few months before the wedding when it closed unexpectedly, however they quickly found Carreg Adventure and booked it and didn’t look back! What a blessing in disguise because they had an incredible wedding which was completely suited to their style.

They had their ceremony at the picturesque St. Teilo’s Church in Bishopston, before heading down to Carreg Adventure for photographs, dinner and dancing. They even finished up the night with a sparkler exit, something I’ve been dying to do for years!

Mark & Donna // Norton House Hotel Wedding Photographer

Mark & Donna enjoyed a beautiful spring wedding at the gorgeous Norton House Hotel in Mumbles, Swansea. Donna and her bridesmaids got ready on the morning of the ceremony in the hotel’s beautiful bridal suite which provided an ideal backdrop for their photos – Norton House Hotel really does think of everything!

Guests enjoyed a drink in the hotel grounds between the ceremony and dinner, and the couple treated their friends and family to a special choreographed first dance, getting their children involved too – I hear that they all put weeks of effort into it with lessons ahead of the big day!

Becky & Dan // Aberavon Beach Hotel Wedding Photographer

I first met Becky & Dan over 10 years ago when we all worked together, so when they got in touch last year to say that they were getting married and wanted to book me as their photographer I was thrilled! Their wedding was held at the Aberavon Beach Hotel and had a Star Wars theme (Becky even arranged for a stormtrooper and Darth Vader to turn up to the reception as a surprise for Dan!)

After the ceremony we headed over to the beach for some photos, despite the blustery weather they were happy to persevere to get a few photos of them on the sand!

Jacquie & Andrew // Celtic Manor Resort Wedding Photographer

Christmas weddings really are extra-special. Just a few days after Christmas 2016, Andrew & Jacquie tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Celtic Manor Hotel. The festive decorations around the hotel only added to the magic of their wedding, and we managed to sneak off to the main lobby for photos in front of the Christmas tree which was fantastic!

Andrew & Jacquie’s wedding was the perfect example of a part-day wedding. In 4 hours, we covered bridal preparation in Jacquie’s hotel room, the ceremony, formal photos and a few candids before wrapping up. If you’re having a small wedding then a part-day package could work out perfectly for you!

Rachel & Dominic // Manor Park Wedding Photographer

Just days before Christmas, Rachel & Dominic celebrated with their loved ones in an evening wedding ceremony at Manor Park Hotel, nr. Swansea. As they were only having a small wedding they only needed me for a part day package which perfectly suited their needs.

Going against tradition, they opted to do family and couple’s portraits before their ceremony, and then immediately after their vows they had a very special guest arrive – SANTA! He handed out gifts to each of the children at the wedding and made sure to chat to everyone.
