Jess and Ryan’s wedding at The Courtyard Wales was nothing short of beautiful – a day filled with laughter, love, and a light breeze that kept everyone on their toes! Taking place in early June, their celebration was the perfect mix of relaxed countryside charm and heartfelt moments.
They chose my 4-hour wedding photography package, which was ideal for the flow of their day – covering the final moments of bridal prep, a private first look, the outdoor ceremony, portraits, group photos, and candid moments right through to the speeches before dinner.
Jess got ready at the venue, and I arrived just in time to capture the final touches – a flurry of hairspray, buttonholes, and that infectious excitement that always fills the air right before the ceremony. One of the most emotional parts of the day was Jess and Ryan’s first look. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the venue, they shared a private moment together before walking down the aisle – a lovely way to settle the nerves and soak in the excitement.
The ceremony took place outside in the open courtyard, framed by the rustic stone buildings and greenery that make The Courtyard such a gorgeous setting. Jess was walked down the aisle by both her dad and stepdad – a touching and meaningful entrance that had more than a few of the guests reaching for tissues.
After they said “I do,” guests enjoyed drinks, lawn games, and sunshine in the courtyard while I captured a mix of candid moments, group photos, and relaxed portraits of the newlyweds. Later, everyone headed indoors for the speeches – full of laughter, heartfelt words, and just the right amount of gentle roasting – before sitting down for a well-earned meal.
